Characters History: John's family is the epitome of dysfunction. After 6 years of fighting, John's father left. There was no word of him for the next four years, until John was 10 and his wealthy and eccentric grandmother died, leaving all her money in a trust fund for John. His father tried to take the money, but after a year of legal battles, the money was John's and his father disappeared again, this time for good. When John turned 18, he was going to be a millionaire. It was during that time of fierce legal battles, that John started writing. When he was 16, he published his first novel, an intense psychological thriller about a boy who kills his father. The book was a bestseller almost instantly, netting John several hundred thousand dollars.
How they ended up at Sage Port: (Continued from Character History) Unfortunately, John's book caused quite a disturbance in his home town. The small catholic school he had been attending up until that time asked him to not return for his Junior year. John's mother decided it would be best if John got away for a while, so she sent him off to Sage Port for a fresh start.
How many years they've attended Sage Port: This will be his first.

John wandered aimlessly around the dorm building, not wanting to go inside. He was only here because some stuffy old nuns had been uncomfortable with the idea of a good old fashioned disemboweling. John smiled and snickered to himself as he remembered writing that particular scene. Ahh... the joy of memories. He wondered if the old penguin had actually read the book, or simply based his expulsion on the gossip from around town. Technically he had "transfered", but expulsion sounded like a much more fitting word to John. Anyway, it wasn't worth his time to worry about these things. He had work to do. This was an entirely new school, he had to make name for himself, not to mention finish working on his second book. Besides, in just another year he would be a millionaire.
The grades would come easy, they always did, but the social grades... they were something that he had to work for. Besides, people were so much more interesting then numbers. John opened the door to the dormitory and stepped inside. "If nothing else," He said with a smile, "I will at least get some new material."
